Karan Johar’s dream projects and period drama Kalank hit theatres on 17 April and the initial reactions are, well, not as expected. Twitterati has called out the film for being boring and predictable and entirely undeserving of its three-hour run time.
Some have pointed out that while the sets are elaborate, there are blatant historical inaccuracies in the film, which is supposed to be set in pre-Independence India of the 1945 and later.
Here are some chucklesome and nearly true posts-

Given #Kalank completely reimagines the subcontinent — the mountains of Kargil are apparently on the outskirts of Lahore; a place called Rajputana has snow-capped mountains — there's obviously no point looking for historical accuracy in the film.

Some users on Twitter have cheekily declared that the eye candy offered in the form of Varun Dhawan and Aditya Roy Kapur is Kalank’s only saving grace, while others have praised Sonakshi Sinha’s performance and wished she could have been given more screen time.
