Kanagana Ranaut dismissed the rumours about movie Manikarnika

It seems that Bollywood and controversies have become good allies. The controversy over Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavat has not completely ended meanwhile a new controversy raised over Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming movie Manikarnika. The controversy is over the rumours that movie has a romantic sequence involving Rani Laxmibai in her film Manikarnika.

Dismissing all such rumours about romantic scene in the movie, actor Kangana Ranaut said spreading such stories about Laxmi Bai is actually defaming her. She said,“There is nothing controversial in Manikarnika. It’s really bad on our part to even think about creating such controversies for a woman who gave a tough fight to the British rulers while fighting alone for the country’s sake.” She further added that these all allegations hut the sentiment of the filmmakers, the caste and crew of the movie.

The writer of the film, Vijayendra Prasad clarified there is no such content in the movie. In fact, the producer of the film, Kamal Jain also shared that historians and scholars have been consulted before portraying Rani Laxmibai’s character in movie. The film is slated to release on August 3.

Who raised the allegations?
This time, it is Brahmin group ‘Sarv Brahmin Mahasabha’ belongs to Rajasthan has come up the objection over content of the film. This community is claiming that this movie has a romantic scene between Rani Laxmibai and a British East India company agent. But, surprising thing is how these communities every now and then come up with such kind of allegations without even watching the movie.
