The ultra-sassy and eccentric Kangana Ranaut sets the screens on fire everytime her Bollywood flick gets rolling. From Queen to Tannu Weds Mannu, this Revolver Rani is a life-filled electric wire. Lately, the unconventional actress is gearing up to promote her upcoming film Rangoon.
As Kangana would have it different everytime, this news is no surprise. The actress is using a vintage car for her personal use until the film gets release to usher in the retro vibe. Rangoon might be portaying a Retro backdrop, and hence the actress decided to travel in a Vintage car for atleast a month until the film hits the theatres. The much awaited film has been set in the backdrop of 1940’s, when there was British involvement to an influenceable extent.
To get into the skin of the character, a vintage car was not enough. Kangana ensured that promotions are carried out in army camp too, keeping in mind the plot of the film. She said, “Going by the plot of the film, we are going to Jammu and Kashmir to promote the film. We will be promoting the film in between the army camp.”
Kangana Ranaut, who will be seen as ‘fearless Julia’, a leading actress who travels, performs and entertains soldiers of the British Indian Army in period drama Rangoon, reiterates that the film is a perfect Women’s Day watch, claiming that it portrays the story of a strong woman.
“In Rangoon, Julia is a strong female character and the story revolves around her. Therefore, I believe that this film is quite important for Women’s Day and perfect to enjoy on that occasion,” said Kangana.
Rangoon songs Bloody Hell and Tippa has got all humming the tune, while grooving to the peppy numbers. Kangana and Sunidhi were elated to be on Dil Hai Hindustani. Nonetheless, all women in the audience felt disappointment as the lead actors of the film, Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor were missing.
Recently, Kangana and her team were spotted promoting her next with singer Sunidhi Chauhan at Star Plus’ singing reality show ‘Dil Hai Hindustani’.
The show witnessed hilarious giggles with punches by cool-judges including Karan Johar, Shekhar Ravjiani, Shalmali Kholgade and Rapper Badshah. These judges too happened to have a fun-filled day.
Kangana looked nothing short of ethereal in a sheer chiffon floral print saree and a sky-blue blouse. She accentuated her look by accessorizing with pearl jewellery.
Sunidhi Chauhan also took to her Instagram account and shared happening pictures which made it clear that the actors had their share of fun and laughter.
Directed by Vishal Bharadwaj, Rangoon starres Saif Ali Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut, Rangoon is slated for release on February 24, 2017. A well-etched story with a promising climax, Rangoon is a movie to watch out for this spring season.
