Kejriwal Plays the Cash n Vote Card to Win Upcoming Punjab Elections 2017

Punjab Elections 2017

A ‘clean’ politician, who accused others of playing dirty politics was caught on tape favouring bribery and adultery in his Punjab rally.

Punjab, a state that relishes in free flow of liquor and cash during elections is a polestar chosen for playing dirty tricks by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. A supposedly ‘intelligent’ alumni from IIT Kharagpur, ex-IRS officer and an ardent supporter of Gandhian principles of ‘peace, non-violence and truth’ went haywire from Hazare’s path ever since he took over the Delhi mantle from Sheila Dikshit. Kejriwal, who’s both famous and infamous for using provocative statements against UPA and NDA, went one step further by preaching ‘mucky election tricks’ to the Punjabis, this time.

Kejriwal Tried to Encash the ‘Cash n Vote’ Card

Addressing large crowds at Mukhtar Sahib and Bathinda districts in Punjab, Kejriwal was caught on camera saying,

Badals will send their men. They will offer money. Mana mat karna. Amarinder Singh’s people will come…if they don’t, go to their houses and say you had been waiting and take the money. If they give Rs 3,000, say it will cost Rs 5,000 now due to inflation. Take at least Rs. 5,000 in new currency notes from Badals or the Congress for promising them your vote, but cast the ballot in favour of AAP”

The AAP Supremo’s Punjab visit was full of dramas, aggression and ‘Punjabi pickup lines’. Using punch words like ‘Sasriakal’, ‘Wahe guru ji da Khalsa’, ‘Sadha Wahe Guru Hamare Sath Hai’ and ‘Sadha Haq Aitthe Rakh’, Arvid tried to hit a close connection with the masses. Referring to himself as a ‘pauper’ who fought tooth and nail to establish his political career, Kejriwal mocked Sukhbir Badal and Amarinder Singh, who were handed their political career in a silver platter by their respective fathers.

Kejriwal, who is frequently blamed for provoking the PM in his inflammatory speeches denied all previous accusations saying “I can fall in Modi’s feet too for sake of Punjab but is he does not relent, hum lad ke Punjab ka haq lenge“. A man who zealously speaks about ‘right’ and ‘duty’ ironically, is the same person who asked the government to produce evidences supporting Indian Army’s surgical strike in Pakistan. The Pakistani media already sees him as a ‘messiah’ fighting for their rights in India. And now, people’s supporter Kejriwal is bent on relieving Punjab from the ‘vicious’ claws of BJP-Congress-Akali government, as per him.

This Look! He has got an 'eye' on you.

The tussle between Kejriwal and the Badals took a personal turn after AAP announced Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann as their CM candidate against Sukhbir Singh Badal. Sukhbir, accused him of using Mann as a proxy to nurse his selfish ambitions. In return, Kejriwal went down a notch. He took a dig at Akali’s recent announcements.

“Since Congress is in secret tie-up with Akali Dal, will a packet of drugs also be given along,” he asked.

This recent turn of events has made Punjab politics quite interesting. Punjab that has seen lots of political drama in near future, had never seen something as ‘fresh’ and as ‘cruddy’ as Arvind Kejriwal’s Punjab rally. With this, we anxiously look forward to Punjab elections 2017. Who will win the elections, only time can tell!
