A Little Planning in 2017 Can Get You A Trail Of Long Weekends In Every Month

2017 is going to arrive with a fun pace and packed with weekend action. Not only on its facet but the year itself will be full of jollification with most of the national holidays falling near the weekends. So, the year is going to give enough escapade reasons for all chair holders in their corporate offices.

The very first official holiday of 2017 is falling on January 14 which is a Saturday and the occasion is Sankranti. Further then, Republic Day (January 26) is falling on Thursday which can turn out to be a long weekend plan with just a Friday leave in between.

Now, further crawling towards February, Maha Shivratri is again on Friday (February 24) which indicates a hassle free weekend. Then comes Holi hues on March 13, which is a Monday.

A working tech guy explains it like, “Usually, we get long weekends only during Dasara or Deepawali. But the next year promises to be a great one because of the number of long weekends. We have extended weekends in March too, which is unusual. The Ugadi situation is good news for those of us who like to travel home and be with family during festivals”.

April brings Good Friday and Ambedkar Jayanti both. Also, how can we forget Labour Day, which is a Monday in May.

After that, you can savour 4 days stretched holidays in August. You can ask for a leave on August 14 which may yield you holidays from August 12 to 15. In the same month falls Ganesh Chaturthi on August 25 which is a Friday.

Now, here comes Dussera holiday package. Ayudha Puja is on September 29, then Vijya Dashmi on September 30 and October 2, a holiday on Gandhi Jayanti.

If you don’t want to play too smart by not working on October 3, 4 and 6 and stretching your holiday till weekend of that week, October Deewali is there to paste a smile on your face.

After then, the end month, December is bringing Christmas on Monday and the year ends with a giant smile.

We hardly doubt that 2017 is not going to be a cheerful year.
