Swatch Swiss Watches

The very famous luxury watch brand, Swatch Group is fabricating an operating system which would be Swiss-made. This will be a more resilient operating system which will be dedicated to internet connectivity of smartwatches.

Swatch, which is very prominent watchmaker in the world has not been in complete favour of watches being connected to the internet. Generally, the systems like Samsung’s Tizen OS. Google’s Android Wear and Apple’s WatchOS is used to connect to the internet. But, the brand like Tissot and Swatch have been swearing on limited internet connectivity.

The CEO of Swatch group, Nick Hayek revealed that the brand is working on their personal smartwatch OS. He also said that, they have also introduced new platform in partnership with Swiss Center for Electronics. Their focal point is to safeguard the personal data with less splurging on battery life.

Nick Hayek also  highlighted the point that, the most surfacing problem is about energy consumption of these smart watches. Privacy is another big factor. By the climax of 2018, Swatch Group’s brand, Omega will roll out an “ecosystem” for its connected objects.

The company has promised of a complete data guard and minimum energy consumption. It will also have luxury of no need to keep it regularly updated. Nick Hayek also mentioned that, “I don’t want to become the industry standard for smartwatches.”

Swatch don’t find it healthy to depend on just few options of such competent operating systems.

Creating its own OS is massive challenge for Swatch because it will be competing with some bigger connoisseurs of technology like Samsung, Google and Apple.

To create a breakthrough, Swatch will have to infuse some unique characteristics in its innovation.

Their most positive aspect is that, users are still not habitual or die-hard followers to a particular watch OS. Just like, they are still trying over options, Swatch can play its game pretty fairly.
