After winning the elections in the state, Mamata took oath as Bengal chief minister on the Red Road where more than 1000 people witnessed the event.  This is the second time in a row when Mamata Banerjee has been elected as the chief minister by the public.

She as the chief minister would be leading a team of 42 members in her cabinet out of which 17 members are new. Well, this was the first time a chief minister in West Bengal has taken oath on Red Road in an event which was open for the public. From the centre, Arun Jaitley the finance minister, MoS for Urban Development Babul Supriyo witnessed the event.

Other prominent leaders who took oath today in the Mamata Banerjee cabinet are Amit Mitra, Sovan Chatterjee, Partha Chatterjee, Firhad Hakim and Subrata Mukherjee.
