Innovation seems like an outworn fashion for tech giant and inspiration for many tech geeks, Apple. The statement has born out of their fading interests in introducing out of the box ideas to the innovation hungry world. Undoubtedly, they made us aware of today’s era of iPhone and MacBook Pro but Microsoft’s latest announcement of “Surface Studio” made us realise what we were missing from so long. Loaded with some amazing 3D software, this new innovation from the Microsoft is certainly an exception to the cliché trend of repetitive yet heavily priced technologies.
Not only the convenience of this device which is luring, Surface Dial is one coaxing addition to the device. Surface dial can be brought to use to employ new changes to images and even adjust screen brightness, colour palettes and volume. It can even be use for normal scrolling. It also allows the use of professional software like Ableton which is brought in use to produce music.
There is even a new introduction of “HoloLens” along with Surface Studio which is a cloud based service which will assist in simulating the augmented reality for users. Making “Surface Studio” a versatile machine for all uses will be equally useful for the developers.
Surface Studio is one steep turn from uneasy tech gimmicks, Apple is producing. We hardly see the felicitous assemblage of their well chosen ideas like they did while launching iPod, iPhone and very favourite Siri (the virtual assistance).
The newly launched Macbook has a touch bar which goes very well with its elegant yet thinner design. But, do we look just for a designer computer here or a more technologically capable innovation of the time. Long gone are the days, Apple introduce something we strive to work and earn hard for.
The new touch bar on Apple may yield single cool use for which it can be called as fun and that is paying for the online buys using the fingerprint scanner. But, we can hardly call it novelty.
Solace is no place for Apple, where the users are waiting with hungry sights to appear something which is not a mere gimmick.
