MJSA Campaign is a success under Vasundhara Raje’s leadership

Mukhyamantri Jal Swavlamban Abhiyan rajasthan

A few months back, in January 2016, CM Vasundhara Raje has launched Mukhyamantri Jal Swavlamban Abhiyan (MJSA) which is her most ambitious programme so that Rajasthan could fight from the ever-happening water problem of the state. Vasundhara Raje was aiming towards finding a solution to the problems of the people of Rajasthan for a sustainable development of the state. Since that day, thousands of people have joined the cause and made it a movement to turn Rajasthan into a drought-free state. Under this scheme, much work and development are being observed all over Rajasthan, making the campaign of MJSA a huge success.

The success is not only in the papers rather, the development work has been monitored and appreciated by the dedicated team of Rajasthan Government all over the state. CM Vasundhara Raje is herself monitoring the scheme and is in continuous touch with the day to day progress of the campaign. Some successful scenarios of the scheme could be easily noticed in the district of Banswara. The goal which the Raje Government wants to achieve is not easy but the zeal with which they are working is commendable. To speed-up the on-going work on various levels under MJSA in villages of Banswara district, a JCB machine is operated in two continuous shifts which work for several hours each day to make the life in Banswara easier. It is very fruitful to know that 11 Panchayat Committees are actively participating in full force to make the campaign a hit, not for the Government but for the betterment of the people of Rajasthan.

Talking about the village Dumaria of Rupwas Panchayat Committee, which is at a distance of 65 km from the district headquarters, has WHS built Sheesham work done. A total amount of Rs. 5 lakh have been sanctioned for Dumaria’s WHS built Sheesham operation in Rupwas Gram Panchayat Samiti. This task started from March 1 and more than 4 million had already been spent on it. This campaign has not only given a supplement to villagers but also collective coup construction to make the non-command areas greener. The area of Sajjangarh has got itself a total of Rs. 3 lakh for getting personal farm approved under NREGA scheme to bring happiness among the residents along with their progress. They wholeheartedly thanked the MJSA campaign as it has not only increased the availability of fresh clean drinking water for irrigation purposes but also employment opportunities, which are nothing less than a miracle. More achievements are the construction of a new tube well about a kilometre away from the Jogarpur village. Its water has easily fulfilled the needs of 10 adjacent villages to it. Villages of Jogarpur, Sawakoh, Lakshmipura, Ganeshpura villages etc. come under Jogarpur Four Water Concept District.

In Bikaner district, a thousand litres from Rain have filled the water sources. Water sources in District’s remote areas are making the villagers water-sufficient. A water source with the huge capacity of 50 thousand litres built at Naalbari’s Gurudwara is completely filled with the first rain in the city bringing happiness for everyone. Under the roof water harvesting structure, this water source is connected to numerous roofs for more functionality and usage. Udaipur is the district in Rajasthan with has witnessed most work done under this campaign. From its valleys to mountains, forests, plains, and around the water resources, a large-scale plantation has been done and still in process. People from all parts of society have taken part in these plantation ceremonies from all over the city. Women also showed equal interest in this operation when urged by CM Vasundhara Raje. Participation from Forest Department has also been overwhelming and large numbers of water structures of various shapes and sizes have been built till now. This is just a small glimpse of total work done. All this is a proof that though the world is facing a threat from rising water requirements, this campaign has brought a positive ray of hope in the grim situation of Rajasthan. As seen by the work done till now, the leadership of Vasundhara Raje and the hard work of people is bringing a new change in the life of people and will continue to yield positive results in making Rajasthan a water resilient and water optimised state.
