India becomes Moto’s third largest market. Check it’s success story from underdog to market leader

Lenovo had taken over the company for a good reason. And it has now proved it’s vision after Motorola was declared to have it’s largest market in India. The Chief Marketing officer (CMO) of Motorola, Jan Huckfeldt claimed that India is the third largest market in value for the smartphone company Motorola.

Huckfeldt arrived in Bengaluru to have a word with developers in the city to enhance the various use cases of Moto Z.

Huckfeldt also informed that India has become the fastest growing business for the company and is ranked alongside Brazil.

Lenovo is positioning Moto as the stellar-cum popular brand for the company. The burgeoning Chinese company has proved it’s worth yet again after their brand-Moto recaptured its largest market-share in the US and Brazil, which happen to be its top two markets in value-terms.

Motorola was acquired by Chinese phone and PC maker Lenovo from Google for $2.9 billion three years ago.

Recently, the company also launched Lenovo Moto Z, company’s most premium product till-date. What’s so special about this device? It is a near-perfect smartphone for all users, executives or students. The device’s efficiency is bolstered with thoughtful accessories like digital camera, JBL speakers, attachable batteries and projectors installed in the phone.

“Moto and Lenovo address two different consumer segments with the conscious customers going for Lenovo and customers looking for a trustable brand buying Moto,” said Huckfeldt. He added that the two brands collectively capture over 25% of the market in online sales in India, which is indeed quite impressive.

“Moto and Lenovo address two different consumer segments with spec conscious customers going for Lenovo and for the premium and trust-able brand customers are buying Moto,” he added. He also proudly spelled out: We crossed $1 billion in mobile sales in India some time ago.
