Mughal Gardens, a place for flower and nature lovers. It is counted among one of the world’s most beautiful gardens. Apart from colorful flowers, one can enjoy the chirping of birds around. These flowers also attract different kinds of butterflies to glorify its beauty. Garden is divided in three different yet wonderful parts.
The gardens are of rectangular and circular shapes. Some are the long ones, for the bed of different roses. The rectangular garden showcase variety of flowers in chequered pattern. You can see almost every kind of fruiting trees here. There are more than 5000 strong trees. Also, the place have amazing herb gardens too. The circular garden is also famous for its central fountain. Apart from this, the spiritual garden have 40 such plants that are valuable for different religious happenings.
Main attractions of this year are roses and tulips. There are green, black and angelic roses to see. This is one of the place where you can see almost all kind of roses together. Another attraction is tulips that are in abundance this year. There are more than 12000 tulips.
There are more than 70 seasonal flowers and this is the best season to watch all of them together.
This year in 2016 it is open from 12 February to 20 March for general public. All the visitors can enjoy the spectacular view of colors except on Mondays.
The time to visit the gardens are 9:30am to 4pm. Entry is from gate number 35.
To reach the gardens by metro, Central Secretariat Metro station is the nearest one. This station is on blue line.
Fun thing is that there is no entry fee. But the sad part is that cameras are not allowed.
You should carry your ID cards, they might ask for it for security reasons.
