The country’s richest family is now rejoicing over the engagement of its daughter Isha Ambani. Isha said yes to the proposal of Anand Piramal at a temple in Mahabaleshwar. This news came few weeks after the eldest son of Mukesh Ambani, Akash Ambani got engaged to Shloka Mehta, daughter of Russell Mehta of Rosy Blue, one of India’s largest diamond companies. Anand Piramal is the enterprising son of industrialists Ajay and Swati Piramal.
Celebration of Isha and Anand engagement
The duo celebrated this moment at the Piramal heritage mansion in Mahabaleshwar. This occasion is celebrated with lunch joined by families of two. Nita, Mukesh, Swati and Ajay as well as Isha’s grandparents Kokilaben Ambani and Purnimaben Dalal were part of lunch. Apart from elders, Isha’s brothers Akash, Anant and Anand’s sister Nandini joined them.
Who is Isha Ambani?
26-year-old Isha Ambani is the daughter of Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani. Isha Ambani is the only daughter of couple. She is elder sister of Anant Ambani and twin sister of Akash Ambani. She is a board member in Reliance Jio and Reliance Retail. She holds Bachelors degree with double majors in psychology and South Asian studies from Yale University. Currently, Isha is pursuing an MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business, which she will complete in June this year.
Who is Anand Piramal?
Anand, 33-year-old son of Ajay and Swati is an executive director in the Piramal Group. He has done graduation in economics from University of Pennsylvania and completed his MBA from Harvard Business School. In 2012, Anand founded Piramal Realty and Piramal Swasthya, a rural health initiative.
Anand and Isha have been long-time friends. These two families have known each other for over four decades and share a bond of friendship. This marriage is undoubtedly an alliance of India’s most prominent business families- Piramal and Ambani. The couple will marry in December.
