Mumbai-Dubai, India’s busiest international route in 2015

Mumbai-Dubai became the busiest international route of 2015. Let us tell you 21.5 lakh people flew between the two destinations in the year that’s gone.

According to Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) data following Mumbai-Dubai, is the pair of Delhi and Dubai with 17 lakh flyers. Third stands the pair of Delhi & London and Delhi & Bangkok with 9.3 lakh flyer each and below it was the pair of Chennai and Colmbo with around 7 lakh people fyling between the two ends.

This has been made possible by the 70 international airlines that function here and the major five Indian flights which provide the service of international travel- Air India, AI Express, Jet Airways, IndiGo and SpiceJet.

Last year India headed direct flights to 52 countries around the world. Out of the total traffic of 4.6 crore, the highest traffic came from the flights between India and UAE.

If we talk about the people travelling between India and Pakistan, we have only 38652 which is comparatively too low. Pakistan has a plane scheduled to capital Delhi every week but no Indian airlines are headed to the country.
