PM Narendra Modi Inaugurated Umiya Dham Ashram In Haridwar

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Umiya Dham Ashram in Haridwar, Uttarakhand on Thursday.

Addressed the public through a video conference, PM Modi said, “The Ashram being inaugurated today will benefit the pilgrims coming to Haridwar.” In his speech, PM Modi spoke also stressed on the importance of ‘Yatra’.

He said, “The idea of a ‘Yatra’ existed as an integral part of our culture. Through a Yatra, we get acquainted with various parts of the country we may never have seen otherwise.”

PM Modi also talked about women of Mehsana District and spread the message of ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’. He said, “I want to especially thank women of Mehsana District, who have furthered the message of Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao.”

PM Modi in his address, appealed for the Clean India campaign, He said, “I appeal to all devotees of Maa Umiya, to become Swachhagrahis and add strength to the Swachh Bharat Mission.”

He also recalled enthusiasm with which he used to take part in Maa Umiya Devi festival celebrations as a young volunteer in Gujarat.
