Top honchos in the market are approaching the way of PM Narendra Modi who is skipping the investors meet Resurgent Rajasthan summit. The splendid festival that is welcoming the investors across the globe will showcase Rajasthan as the emerging destination for successful investment.

The two day summit will commence from Thursday that will be inaugurated by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitely.

The state government had sent invite to the Prime Minister a lot of times, but no positive response had been achieved from the Prime Minister’s Office. As per sources, Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje herself had invited the PM couple of times for this extravagant event but response remained in a dilemma.

According to an official “They have neither accepted nor refused it.”

The sources said that the government had acquired a list of 80 top investors from the industry but now only 50 such investors are remaining. Also, no memoranda of understanding (MoUs) were likely to be signed during the event, the sources added. Earlier, the government had planned to sign some MoUs in Modi’s presence.

While the opposition party had attacked the PM saying that the honorable CM has time to hop on and off from one country to another but he has no time to represent a vast summit in his own country that could gain high investment.

Archana Sharma, state vice-president of the party said “It shows a lack of coordination between the state and the Central governments but it could also be for the embarrassment that the Centre faced due to the Lalitgate (issue) and the mining scam (in which a senior IAS officer is behind bars).”

However, the absenteeism of PM from this two day summit  would not affect participation from the investors, who have already given their consent to attend the meet, including Mr. Anil Ambani of ADAG group, Mr Anand Mahindra of M&M, Mr K.M. Birla of AB Nuvo, Mr Kiran Mazumdar Shaw of Biocon, Mr Mohandas Pai of Manipal Global, Mr Sunil Kant Munjal of Hero Moto Corp, Mr Vijay K. Thadani of NIIT, Ms Shobana Kamineni of Apollo Hospitals, Mr S.N. Eisenhower of Saint-Gobain Glass India, Mr Rakesh Bharti Mittal of Field Fresh Foods, Mr Vipin Sondhi of JCB India Ltd and Mr Katsushi Inoue of Honda Cars.
