The two veteran actors of the Bollywood industry, Naseeruddin Shah and Anupam Kher lately indulged into a comment war over the campaign for Kashmiri Pandits. Well, in case you have missed it, let us take you through this.

A bitter war broke out between Anupam Kher and Naseeruddin Shah when Shah questioned Anupam’s campaign for the Kashmiri Pandits who are displaced.

Naseeruddin Shah, questioning the actor’s support for the Kashmiri displaced pandits, said, “A person who has never lived in Kashmir has started a fight for Kashmiri Pandits. Suddenly, he became a displaced person.” We wonder why would he come up with such a statement.

Later, Anupam Kher countered Shah’s comment and asking the logic behind the same said, “Shah Saab ki Jai Ho. By that logic NRIs should not think about India at all.”

Soon after that Anupam Kher was supported by his twitter followers and the popular Bollywood Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar.

Kher, a Kashmiri Pandit, said his roots are in the Valley of Kashmir and he doesn’t need to give a proof of it to anyone. In a statement he said, “I have great regard for Naseerudin Shah. I don’t think the comment was made by him but seems it was attributed to him by someone. My roots are in Kashmir. I don’t want to prove my credential of being a Kashmiri Brahmin. It’s a very insensitive statement, I don’t think such a statement befits from a person like him.”
