JD-U member suspended for violating ban on liquor in Bihar. The JDU legislator Lalan Ram was recently suspended from his membership from the party for breaking the liquor ban in the state of Bihar. He has been arrested for violating the ban on liquor which was imposed by the Chief Minister of the state Nitish Kumar.
JDU spokesperson Sanjay Singh said, “Taking serious note of the violatiJD-U party memeber suspended for violating on of a total liquor ban by him, the JDU has suspended him on the charge of giving a bad name to the party. The culprit was arrested by the police on Wednesday evening after his video went viral where he is seen drinking alcohol and saying, “Wherever he (Chief Minister Nitish Kumar) will go, he will find nobody complies with the liquor ban.”
According to the police, the excise department lodged a complaint against him on violating the ban and then the arrest followed.
