Nokia 5 Launched in India with New 3GB RAM


Nokia 5 launched in India in August at INR 12,499 with 2 GB RAM has now been added with a new 3GB RAM. Slotted between Nokia 3 and Nokia 6, the Nokia 5 Model has been rolled out at INR 13,499 in the lineup. The pocket-friendly model is going to be available exclusively on Flipkart for one week starting from today i.e. November 7.

Nokia 5 Specifications

The 3GB variant is quite similar to the 2GB model; the specs have been refreshed as it runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box with a promised upgrade to Android Oreo. Sporting a 5.2-inch HD IPS LCD display, the model gets a 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass for protection.

Moving on, the model is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC paired with 3GB LPDDR3 RAM. Coming to the memory, the model features 16GB inbuilt storage expandable up to 128 GB via microSD card. As far as the camera is concerned; it gets an 8MP autofocus unit in the front and a 13 megapixel unit with dual tone flash at the rear.

For connectivity options, the Nokia 5 Model includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, 3.5 mm audio jack, Micro-USB with OTG, GPS/A-GPS, and FM Radio with RDS. Power comes from a 3000mAh, non-removable battery measuring 149.7×72.5×8.05. Some important fitments in the form of sensors include an accelerometer, digital compass, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and ambient light sensor.

Nokia 5 Availability

After November 14, the model will be rolled out at select retail outlets across the country. While the original model was unveiled in Copper and Silver, the additional color options include Matte Black and Tempered Blue.

For those buying the new Nokia 5 through the online retailer will also be able to avail a Jio-Nokia additional data offer. The offer includes 5GB extra 4G data on every recharge of INR 309 or above, which is limited to 10 recharges till August 31, 2018.
