Well, who says in this modern phase of technology where app market is laddering up and blooming up like never before, the call rates will be too high? Well, call rates will be under control with this new app. Ringo, will help you make a call everywhere in India at just 19 paise for a minute. Low cost calling was never as cheap as with this new app. It claims to offer 90 percent cheaper call rate than other telecom operators.
Ringo, uses the network of mobile operators to make a call and is aiming to get a million customers in the coming 3-6 months.
According to Ringo CEO and founder Bhavin Turakhia said here” Our local calling service is not only the cheapest in India right now, but free of typical telecom-related hassles such as STD charges and differential pricing.”
He also said “Ringo is able to offer cheaper calling by purchasing minutes in bulk at low prices from telecom operators and passing on the accrued savings to its customers. The company uses top-end technology that connects both the initiator and the recipient of a call via a conference bridge.”
Turakhia, however, did not share details. He added “we buy bulk minutes from telecom operators through aggregators such as Tata Communications, British Telecom and Verizon.”
The company also launched international calling service in January which is available in 100 countries now.
Ringo can call any landline or mobile at mere 19 paise per minute. It has no hassle of any additional charges like STD, roaming and others.
While asked will Ringo hamper other market telecom operators the CEO said “If they (telcos) talk about voice quality of the app being lower, they are actually putting themselves down because Ringo is not making the call, Ringo is using their network to make the call.”
