Oscars 2018: Hollywood pays tribute to Sridevi and Shashi Kapoor, Twitterati reacts

At the 90th Academy awards, there is a ‘Memoriam’ section for paying tribute to everyone that film industry has lost last year. These people are being remembered for their contribution to the world of cinema. At the event, Indian stars were also being remembered. Bollywood has lost Shashi Kapoor last year while Sridevi few days ago.

During Memoriam montage, Eddie Vedder performed on the Tom Petty’s Room At The Top. The others remembered were James Bond star Roger Moore, Mary Goldberg, Sam Shephard, Martin Landau and Harry Dean Stanton.

Shashi Kapoor was a veteran Bollywood actor and part of Kapoor clan. He died last year at the age of 79. He was ill from long and had been in wheelchair for years. He had begun working as a child artist at the age of 4. He was the heartthrob of the nation. His unmatched dancing steps and unique acting style had made him to rule Indian cinema. He had also worked in many international projects like The Householder, Shakespeare Wallah and Heat And Dust.

Called as First Lady Superstar, Sridevi was 54. She died suddenly by accidentally drowned in bathtub of her hotel at Dubai. She was there to attend nephew’s wedding. She made 300 films in several languages over 50 years. She had made to film industry as a child artist. Her ethereal dancing skills and comic timing are amazing. She worked in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi movies.
