PM Modi meets Google chief Sundar Pichai and this is what he told him

According to the schedule, PM Modi was hugely interested in meeting the stalwarts of Silicon Valley including the Indian-origin leaders who are leading big names in the United States.

PM Modi, who had a roundtable discussion with 21 corporate leaders had an undeniably effective meeting with the living legends of the Silicon Valley, including Apple CEO Tim Cook.

Apple Chief expressed his optimism for the growth opportunities which India has in store. He said he is bullish about the production of mid-range iPhone SE model. Cook was also highly sanguine about app development in Bengaluru.

Not just Tim Cook, PM Modi met other business tycoons and leaders of big billion dollar companies like Facebook, Google and Microsoft. He met the likes of Sundar Pichai, Walmart head Doug McMillon and Caterpillar’s Jim Umpleby.

He also shed light on how India has emerged as the mega super power which India has become in the trading and business dynamics. He also highlighted the importance and implementation of GST, which will drive India’s success story. GST is also likely to be inculcated in the syllabus of US business schools.

Foreign Investments (FII inflows)

Under Modi-raj, India has achieved the maximum foreign cash inflows, which mirrors India’s ability of ‘ease of doing business’ and reduced complication and formalities. “A total of 7,000 reforms alone were carried out by the Government of India (GOI) to promote ease of business and minimum government, maximum governance,” said Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Roundtable.

The members of the roundtable were highly bullish and supportive of Modi-led schemes like Make in India and Digital India, Start Up India and other torch-bearer schemes pioneered in India.

PM Modi in the middle of the third leg of the US tour driven by boosting bilateral trades and anti-terrorism support.
