Here’s all you need to know about Purvanchal Highway:

• The highway passes through nine districts of the state, including Lucknow, Barabanki, Faizabad, Ambecker Nagar, Ametti, Sultampur, Azangal, Mau and Gazipur.

• The Uttar Pradesh Government expects 15,000 to 20,000 vehicles to use the highway daily for the first few days after opening. The number may increase.

• The Uttar Pradesh Highway Industrial Development Agency (UPEIDA) has a wide range of highway safety measures in place for passenger safety. An advanced traffic management system and fences will be installed to stop stray animals. When they arrive on the highway, the team will be present at various locations to catch these animals.

Government enters day 8

• According to Hindustan Times’ sister magazine Livehindustan, ambulances are kept ready to deal with accidents and emergencies. Livehindustan reported that 20 patrol vehicles will also be deployed.

• The government also planned to land a fighter on the highway. There is a 3 km long landing zone in Kudebar in the Sultampur district, which can be used in an emergency.

• 6-lane access control The highway can be extended to 8 lanes. This will allow you to travel 300 km within three and a half hours, greatly improving connectivity.

• The government earns Rs 20.2 billion annually through the Purvanchal Highway. Initially, tolls are not levied on highway commuters, according to Livehindustan.
