Under the flagship of PM Modi’s healthcare programme, Ayushman Bharat Yojna, baby Karishma was born. This girl child was born on Independence Day at Karnal, Haryana. She is now 19 days old and on verge of becoming a celebrity. She has been called as Ayushman Bharat baby. Karishma was born at Kalpana Chawla Hospital in Haryana’s Karnal district.
This baby is of 3 kg and is completely healthy. Her mother, Mausami is the first beneficiary under Ayushman Bharat Yojna. Karishma is born through cesarean section and her mother Mausami received a benefit of Rs. 9,000. She was happy as the government will bear all medical expenses.
The government of Haryana rolled out this scheme on Independence Day. On the same day, PM Modi announced Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. On 15th August, Karishma was born. Doctor confirmed her father that birth has been paid for by the scheme and the vaccinations she is getting right now are also free of cost. After this, Dr Dinesh Arora, Deputy CEO of Ayushman Bharat, welcomed Karishma into the world through a tweet.

Ayushman Bharat
Also known as Modicare, Ayushman Bharat was announced by the government during the Budget Session of Parliament. This healthcare programme promises to cover more than 10 crore poor and vulnerable families for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization. These families will be given aid up to Rs. 5 lakh per family. The families will be picked up on the basis of database of Socio-Economic Caste Census.
