BATMAN: ARKHAM KNIGHT

The Rocksteady Studio developed Batman: Arkham Knight, which is the fourth and final installment in the Batman: Arkham trilogy, published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, returns after much anticipation and true to its legacy, opened to raging reviews from avid gamers receiving their approval. The game based on the DC Comics character comes after the Batman: Arkham Asylum – The Road to Arkham, Batman: City, Batman: Arkham Unhinged, Batman: Arkham City – End Game, and Batman: Arkham Origins. Packed with exciting new features and with some old gadgets, game play elements making a comeback, which include the grapnel gun, line launcher, batarangs, the countering system and detective vision, the final offering in this series gives the players a definite control over the city of Gotham. In Knight, which revolves around Batman taking down his nemesis Scarecrow yet again, the most exciting gaming element introduced is the drivable ‘Batmobile’. The return of various characters from former versions of the series and an appearance from Black Mask is an action packed adventure and is being lauded as the best edition, with the most fitting end to the coveted Batman: Arkham trilogy.

FAR CRY 4

Inspired by the Maoist insurgency in Nepal Far Cry 4 is the fourth installment in the Ubisoft Montreal developed and Ubisoft published Far Cry series. First announced in May of 2014, the game was launched worldwide on the 22nd of January. Set in the fictional country of Kyrat it features Ajay Ghale, an American-Kyrati of Nepali origin, the game’s protagonist and his return to his homeland. Ghale faces innumerable obstacles on his visit to scatter his dead mother, Ishawari’s ashes at a place known as Lakshmana and uncovers the deep connection he has with the rebellion, the Golden Path, founded by his dead father. When Ghale witnesses the atrocities inflicted by the King and his forces on the people of Kyrat he decided to take matters in his own hands and carry the legacy he was destined for, forward. The game includes some stunning graphics, which combined with the gripping storyline leave little space for anything other than sheer fascination. The first person shooter game comes with role-playing elements, prizes for completing missions and is spread over tow geographical zones, the South and North of Kyrat. The south can be explores almost immediately but the players need to unlock the North of Kyrat by completing the assigned missions. With some extraordinary elements to lend to game’s uniqueness, of which some are using a hovercraft and animals for transportation, it is no doubt that it is a favorite among avid gamers.
