Pune & Andhra Pradesh getting booming technological support from Cisco

cisco manufacturing plants locations

As India is leaving no sweep to cover and manage with the world’s growing modernization, Cisco executive chairman John Chambers thought of setting up a brand new manufacturing plant in Pune the second largest city of Maharashtra. Along with this Andhra Pradesh’s Visakhapatnam will also get an innovation centre for Internet of Everything (IoE) in order to keep up with the fast pace of current digital age by providing a platform for developers, researchers, startups, accelerators and   ecosystem partners.

Stepping in of Cisco the global networking products giant, in Pune after Bengaluru, would be bringing an entire array of products and services of the company in India.

Whereas the planned layout for Andhra Pradesh in Chambers’ own words is, “Andhra Pradesh has a digital state blueprint for other states to follow. Our investment is a commitment to help the state develop an ecosystem of talent, entrepreneurship and innovation to drive growth, generate jobs, diversify the economy and support sustainable growth.’’  A statement which completely gels with what the respective state’s chief minister N Chandra Babu Naidu had earlier said that, “My vision for the state is to digitally empower every citizen, enhance quality of life and accelerate economic competitiveness.”

Complying with these two statements are these particular facts which comprise the core of the new deal. Vishakhapatnam is to be awarded with inauguration of India’s first statewide broadband project called AP Fiber-Net which is compatible enough for connecting around 30 million households with a fiber-to-home for telephone, cable services and TV for just Rs 150. Whereas for the rural areas of Andhra Pradesh, Cisco will support and collaborate with University of AP on a 12-month research program to categorize and discover the prospects of budding and customizing digital technologies. Other than this the futuristic city that of Vijayawada, is also set to receive smart achievements in the areas of education, security, lighting, parking, transport, bus stops, and government services, through perfectly smart Wi-Fi connection under Golden Mile project by Cisco.

Through all these major implementations we do think that Chambers in the man of his words as in CNN Asia Business Forum 2016 he was recorded saying, “Eighteen months ago, I said if you want to bet on one country, it is India as the country is in sync with the speed of innovation in the current digital age”
