Congress president Rahul Gandhi has again become victim as he being ridiculed by BJP unit. This time, they made fun of Rahul Gandhi due to his jacket. The BJP unit in Meghalaya took a jibe at him. They tweeted a picture in Rahul Gandhi wearing black Burberry original jacket. It is estimated that jacket cost around Rs 63,000($995). This is an image from Shillong where Rahul Gandhi was with Meghalaya’s CM Mukul Sangma.
The twitter reads,
“So, soot (pun intended) boot ki sarkar with ‘black’ money fleeced from Meghalayan state exchequer by rampant corruption? Instead of singing away our woes, you could have given a report card of your inefficient government in Meghalaya. Your indifference mocks us.”
This made BJP to make fun of Congress party. It was Congress who mocked Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s suit during visit of then US President Barack Obama. It was sharp comment over BJP calling it ‘suit boot ki sarkar’.
Counter-attacking BJP’s comment, Congress MP Renuka Chaudhary said that BJP had no moral authority to question Rahul. She further added that Rahul Gandhi’s clothing connects him with the young and she could show that the “same jacket” was available for Rs 700.
