Rajasthan Cabinet Update: Experience Req. for Third Grade teachers reduced from 5 to 3 years, CM Vasundhara Raje said

A slew of decisions were announced at the recently concluded Rajasthan Budget session chaired by Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje.

Here is a list of major announcements made at the Rajasthan state cabinet meeting held on Thursday at the Chief Minister Office.

The State Cabinet gave approval to take a loan worth Rs. 3,291 crore for repair restructuring of Indira Gandhi Canal Project (IGNP).

Third Grade teachers in Panchayati Raj Department will be provided relaxation for their appointment in the School Education Department. The minimum experience requirement has been reduced to 3 years from 5 years. This decision would affect about 42,249 Third Grade teachers.

The Public Works Department and Transport Minister Shri Younus Khan said that the Main Canal and Feeder Network of IGNP witnessed a decline in CC of canals. This, they said is because of the continuous flow of water for past 55 years.

A loan of Rs. 3,291 crore will be taken from the New Development Bank under Rajasthan Water Sector Restructuring Project in Desert Area (RWSRPD).

The Rajasthan Cabinet also approved to amend Rajasthan Civil Service Rules to give relief to the state government employees having more than two children. As per the proposed amendment, the employees having more than two children after June 1, 2002 would be considered for promotion or assured career progression after 3 years of appointment instead of earlier condition of 5 years.

He added that the amendment in Rajasthan Civil Service Pension Rules-1966 was also proposed to give a choice of Basic Pay plus Dearness Allowance or Family Pension plus Dearness Relief to the employees appointed on the compensatory grounds.

Grade Pay for the post of Pujari in Devasthan Department was proposed to be revised from 1,700 rupees to 1,750 rupees.

The Cabinet also showed a green flag to change name of the Government Arts College at Chimanpura in Jaipur to Baba Narayandas Government College of Arts, Chimanpura.

Phase II of Mukhyamantri Jal Swavalamban Abhiyan (MJSA) was also reviewed during the Cabinet meeting. In this phase, by June 30, watershed structures are to be constructed in 4,200 villages.

Rajasthan CM Raje directed all Ministers and Secretaries in-charge of different districts to ensure strict monitoring. She also reiterated the need to visit their respective regions for tapping the maximum potential of MJSA.
