Rajasthan Politics: A hub of erstwhile royal families; state in an unprecedented progressive mode under incumbency

It is said that Rajasthan Politics is home to the erstwhile royalties and there is no dearth of proof. The incumbent Chief Minister of Rajasthan Vasundhara Raje belongs to the erstwhile Gwalior royal family and was married to former Dholpur royalty. Her son Dushyant Singh also became a prominent face in Rajasthan politics, as he is the MP from Jhalwar-Baran.

It all started from Karni Singh, the former King of Bikaner. He introduced himself into the Rajasthan politics way back in 1951-52. His legacy is now being taken forward by Siddhi Kumar.

The recent addition to the bandwagon is the wife of Maharawal Brijraj Singh, Raseshwari Rajya Lakshmi. She said that the public wants her to serve through politics. She married to Sisodiya Rana princess of Nepal who got married to the Jaisalmer royal household in 1993.

The royal family of Kota

The royal family of Kota is also not aloof. Former maharaja Brijraj Singh had been Member of Parliament (MP) from Jhalawar. He has quit politics now but his son Ijyaraj Singh is still active in electoral politics.

The Current Stance

As for the current situation of politics in Rajasthan, it is oozing with development and good governance. The state is being ruled by CM Raje, who is renowned as the people’s leader. Her schemes have women, children and poor at the fulcrum. Rajshri yojana, Bhamashah Yojana, Shubh Shakti are just a few to name. Mukhyamantri Jal Swalamban Yojana (MJSA) and Annapurna Rasoi are some of the most successful schemes of the state.

MJSA has brought in waves of water and a lot of cheer in the desert state; the farmers of Rajasthan are surprised by the quantum of water generated in the state. Annapurna is the benison for those who cannot afford a two-time meal for their families. Annapurna Rasoi is serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner under Rs 8.

AAP to enter Rajasthan Politics…

Arvind Kejriwal’s AAP is also aiming to enter the Rajasthan politics with a bang. The party will declare its manifesto for the upcoming Rajasthan elections on October 28 in presence of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Media in-charge for AAP Gopal Sharma had earlier said, “Arvind Kejriwal will hold his election rally at the Ramleela Maidan in Jaipur on October 28. Kejriwal and his party members will be campaigning in Rajasthan.
