Vasundhara Raje inaugurated and laid foundation stone for development projects worth Rs. 2100 crore at Suratgarh

Rajasthan, the desert state is now slowly and gradually leaving that image behind and is emerging as a global state. No country or state can develop without taking the people along. Progress is impossible without change and change is the only way to development. As the world is becoming more globalised and privatised, it’s time that India too move towards development of not only the states but also its individual. The development of a state has to start at the foundation of the society as the development of a place lies in the ability of its citizens.

Rajasthan’s chief minister Vasundhara Raje surely understands each aspect of development and thus one after the other taking great efforts in making Rajasthan one of the most powerful and developed state of the country. CM Raje believes that the people of her state are her real strength and her every step towards development of the state involves development of every resident. In the past few years, under the leadership of CM Raje, Rajasthan has witnessed growth and development like never before. It takes some real efforts and hard work to bring a state under a huge debt back on the map shining like a star. Chief Minister lately has inaugurated and laid foundation stone for development products of worth rupees 2100 crore at Suratgarh which aim towards development of the Sri Ganganagar district of the state. She said, “Today will be remembered as the development day in the history of Sri Ganganagar district. Apart from development works of worth Rs. 2100 crore taken up today, development products of Rs. 1580 crore have already been complete in Sri Ganganagar district. These development works show that state government is committed towards the development of every district of our state.”

The BJP government in the state under her leadership has brought some major changes in the state. The previous governments had left the state under debt and incomplete projects. Vasundhara government took the responsibility of not only completing the previous pending works but also developing the state ahead of everything. The previous governments were only able to construct 7000 km long National Highways whereas under the leadership of Raje 9326 km long National Highway have been constructed launching Rajasthan on top of construction of National Highways in a state. CM Raje along with Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari inaugurated and laid foundation stone of several development projects that will soon change the image of Sri Ganganagar district. She said that these development projects have been planned and set up keeping the people of the district in mind.

Smt. Vasundhara Raje said, “The surplus water of Ravi, Beas, Satluj and Ghaggar which washed away as flood water will be utilised and the state government has decided to start Re-Structuring Project for Desert Area after re-structuring of Indira Gandhi Canal System.”  She added, “Re-aligning work of the main canal and branches of Indira Gandhi Canal in Haryana and Rajasthan will be done. Additional water for 1, 81, 618 hectare CCA will be made available for Sri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, and Barmer districts from this project of worth Rs. 3264 crore.” The Union Road Transport Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari has not only appreciated the developmental projects undertaken by the Raje government in the state but also announced some big projects that would surely turn the tables around. He said the state will have the roads constructed by the end of December 2018 of worth rupees one lakh crore. He said, “Under Bharat Mala scheme 253 km long new highway will be constructed from Sri Ganganagar to Karanpur, Gajsinghpur, Raisingh Nagar, Rawala and Dantor. He also announced the sanctioning of new roads in Dantor, Khajuwala, Nachana and Jaisalmer. He said 1312.70 km new roads have been sanctioned in Rajasthan and the construction of these roads will commence in the next six months.” Apart from this, the Union Minister has also announced that a new project –Jal Marg, will start under which Jaisalmer, Barmer and other districts will be connected with Kandla Port. A total amount of rupees 16000 crores will be spent on this project.
