Planning and development go hand-in-hand. The overall progress of any village, city or state is impossible without making arrangements for the same. Bearing this in mind, the center constituted Niti Aayog for drafting development-centric policies for the nation. For long-term sustainable growth of the country, it’s essential for the centre and the states to join hands. When Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje rose to power in 2013, she freely embraced the idea, collaborating with the Centre over Rajasthan’s development.

CM Vasundhara Raje addressed a congregation of officers and members of the NITI Aayog at an event titled ‘Development Dialogue with NITI Aayog’ held at CMO on Friday. To lay down the foundation for a fast-developing nation, it’s essential for the state government to identify critical sectors. In this process, it’s necessary for the authorities to work with the center. Saying so, Raje freely welcomed the idea of a comprehensive 3-year Action Agenda. Hinting at the center’s 15-year vision, Raje believes it’ll pave way for all-round development of the nation.

By striking a fruitful partnership with NITI Aayog officers, the government aims at establishing ‘Rajasthan model’ that would set a commendable example for other states to follow.

The CM took this opportunity to shed light on the success of MJSA (Mukhyamantri Jal Swavlamban Abhiyan), an ambitious rainwater harvesting scheme that attempts to conserve water and restore green cover in the barren lands. For launching the third and fourth phases of the MJSA campaign, Raje sought financial assistance worth Rs 3000 crore rupees. She also requested a special package worth Rs 7257 crores for clean drinking water and environment.

Underlining the much-needed reforms in the agriculture sector, Raje requested funds for agriculture-centric policies, such as NREGA, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana and Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana. Also, she requested Rajasthan agriculture ministry’s involvement with ICAR that’ll help boost the agricultural status of Rajasthan.

On this occasion, Niti Aayog CEO Mr. Amitabh Kant applauded Rajasthan government’s Bhamashah Scheme for digitization, women empowerment, and social security. Efforts like these have accelerated Rajasthan’s growth rate.

Appreciating Rajasthan government’s efforts NITI Aayog Vice Chairman Arvind Panagariya said that Rajasthan is one of the first states to initiate labor reforms for ‘ease of doing business’.

Committed to building a visionary future for Rajasthan, the state government will help the center in formulating a solid National Development Agenda.
