Value education is the need of hour to make better citizens with the ability to imbibe from what they have been taught and further implement the same in their practical lives. Education is not just mugging up things and scoring high but is in fact being able to judge the difference between the good and the bad. Under the leadership of Vasundhara Raje, the state of Rajasthan and its government is moving ahead to stress the importance of how a value based education system can bring a positive and a much needed change in the society. The Rajasthan Government has always taken initiative steps to bring about change and reforming education sector is the next big step in this direction. The state is working on changing the current curriculum in the primary schools because the need of the hour is to target the root level first. While addressing a gathering at Ajmer, CM Vasundhara Raje said, “Rajasthan will bring a revolution in value based education system. With formal education, children need to be imparted with cultural values so that the new generation can become competent citizens.” Raje understands that only better education can build able citizens who in various ways can be helpful in making programs like Skill India, Digital India and Make in India a success. An educated India that appreciates and embraces values is the most one could ask for.
