Just a few days ago it was reported that Ranbir Kapoor chose to give a witty reply to Salman Khan’s remark on the Sanju biopic. Salman Khan pointed out that no one else can play Sanjay Dutt better than Sanjay himself to which Ranbir Kapoor had commented that no person has played himself in his biopic. And now it looks like Director Rajkumar Hirani has also come forward in support of Ranbir.
In a recent interview to Filmibeat, Hirani talked about the Sanjay Dutt playing himself in the later stages of his life shown in the film. He said that he thought of Sanjay Dutt playing his older self in the last portions but then he felt it would be too weird and abrupt. According to Hirani seeing Ranbir playing the younger Sanju and then seeing Sanju playing his older self would have disconnected the audience from the film.
Nonetheless, the teaser and trailers of the film are getting a highly positive response from the audience. Ranbir Kapoor is being loved as Sanjay Dutt, especially as Munna Bhai. His uncanny resemblance and exceptional portrayal of Dutt has created quite a buzz and people are rushing to book their tickets for the release of the film on 29th June.
Apart from Sanju, Ranbir Kapoor is working on his upcoming flick Bramhastra that also stars Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan. The film has created a lot of buzz even before the completion of its shoot mainly because of the love affair between Ranbir and Alia.
