Ramkumar Raman Becomes Youngest CA of World in the Age of 18 years

Ramkumar Raman 18 year old Indian boy in UAE has cracked all 14 Chartered Accountant examinations, making him the youngest CA affiliate of the world. He has completed three years of qualified work experience to attain the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) membership.

Raman is now recognized as youngest ACCA affiliate ever registered among all other candidates. He started his coaching in year 2012 and wrote his final paper in year 2015. Normally ACCA candidate start their coaching at the age of 18 years, but against all odds Raman has outperformed the age barrier for the qualification.

The ACCA examinations are broadly divided into three modules or levels – The Knowledge module, Skill module and Professional module, which comprises of 14 papers in total. These papers are attempted over a span of three years.

Raman in his talk with Khaleej Times said “I began coaching in September 2012 and appeared for my final exams in June 2015. As far as my previous exams are concern, I don’t think that I have performed well. In 10th grade I secured 8.6 CGPA while in 12th it was just 87 percent”.

Raman in his pursuit of becoming a youngest CA of the world followed a strict schedule. After taking lunch he gets busy his with his books starting from 4.30Pm and stretched till 8.30Pm. Thereafter he calls for dinner and returns back to book from 9 Pm to 12 mid-nights, before going to sleep.

Although success is always achieved through a hard work but, Raman partially believes that his superstition has helped him get through. He said “was wearing same pair of pants, shirts, vests, socks and shoes and ate same type of curries and rice before writing his ACCA papers”.

Now when Raman has completed his CA course, he wishes to pursue his career in Investment Banking, will also apply for MBA in USA.
