Ravindra Gaikwad: Why doesn’t India Need Politicians like Him?

Recently, a Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad, who assaulted an Air India crew member, last month, insisted on national television that he didn’t commit a crime when he hit an employee at work. It was followed by the Air India crew declaring him as a ‘flight risk’. They banned him for eternity—a bold and commendable step, we must say. The politicians were divided in their opinions and his supporters sprung to his defense. Though his colleagues and followers batted for him, Union aviation minister made it clear that he favored domestic airline’s ban on Gaikwad. The government won’t compromise with people’s respect and safety, said the minister.

On his part, Gaikwad remained indifferent, unrepentant and rude, though he reluctantly apologized to the Parliament. The aviation ministry received his ‘letter of regret’ (which was issued to aviation minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju) and instructed the flight company to lift their ban on ‘misbehaving MP’. Though the matter is settled for now, incidents like these make us wonder that how will democracy survive with politicians like Gaikwad in this country.

Will the common men succumb to the wishes of these high-ranking officials? Will the legislature change its laws and the judiciary turn its course for political leaders? Don’t they stand in the same category as a roadside hoodlum, in this case?

After the Air India Gaikwad controversy, the airlines have decided to ban VIP footwear while boarding flights!!!

Here, we’ll tell you not one or two but 5 reasons why India doesn’t need politicians like Ravindra Gaikwad.

  1. He reacts aggressively!

Gaikwad defended his stance saying that he slapped the AI crew member because he abused him. It clearly shows that he’s aggressive, violent and can’t handle criticism. We recommend him anger management classes for future.

  1. He Doesn’t Repent for his Misdeeds.

What do you do when you realize you’ve committed a mistake in life? You obviously repent and apologise to the person you’ve wronged. Any normal person would do that, but not Gaikwad. His apology in the Parliament was just a formality so that the government can let him off the hook.

  1. He doesn’t respect other human beings!

Hitting an employ at work clearly shows that you’ve no respect towards them or their work. People like Gaikwad ride high on their horses and consider others puny and insignificant. They must be counselled for good.

  1. He Isn’t Serious about Parliament Proceedings.

The way Gaikwad behaved inside the Parliament (we’re talking about the halfhearted apology that he gave), it’s clear that he isn’t serious about constitution or the Parliament.

  1. He’s Arrogant and Flaunts his Money.

When the AI banned Gaikwad on their flights, the arrogant minister said he would rather buy a private jet than fly like commoners. This shows he doesn’t care for money. This attitude isn’t suitable for a politician, who’s responsible for handling public funds for developmental works.

Ravindra Gaikwad is totally a bad-ass politician who needs to mend his ways. He needs to work hard to live up to his party’s image else he’ll lose the public mandate due to his aggressive ways.
