Reign of Revenge killing in Kerala’s Kannur; 2 dead

Post the assembly elections in the state of Kerala, there had stray incidents of political murders in various parts of Kerala. There has been a tensed situation in Kerala after elections which are followed by the killing incident of two workers of CPI(M) and BJP respectively. This is the ugly face of politics as said and the killings are said to be done for revenging the rivalry after elections.

Tension has gripped the region completely after the two political murders who are said to be attacked in the wake of the killings. Such violent politics has made the region sensitive once again and is said to be involving a local leader. The police stated that CPI (M) worker C V Danaraj, 36, was hacked to death by an unidentified gang in the courtyard of his house near Payyannur town around 10 pm on Monday. That time, he was about to enter his house, when a motorbike gang attacked him. It is said that he was being followed on his way back home and then after murdered after reaching his destination. Danaraj died on his way to a hospital near Kannur. BJP was blamed for the murder by the CPI(M) party.

Two hours later, a local leader of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS), the labor wing of the RSS and BJP worker C K Ramachandran, 46, was murdered outside his near Payyannur by hurling a crude bomb. This is a result of post elections tension in the state. Police have registered the case and are investigating to find out the murderers.
