Google is organizing a launch event where it planned to reveal Google’s new Android Smartphone – Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL. From the past few days, the market has been flooded with the speculated features and specifications that covered almost all aspects of the new devices. Both of these Pixel devices are developed and designed by HTC and will replace the Nexus devices. This emphasis is done to move in a direction where the future devices will be made by Google itself.

The Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL will both run on Android 7.0 Nougat and would be the first ones to support Google’s Daydream VR platform. They are rumored to be water resistant with the IP53 rating. Also, there are rumors that the larger of the two which has been codenamed marlin (Pixel XL) will be the flagship model featuring a 5.5-inch Quad HD AMOLED display. It will come with Snapdragon 821 processor, 4GB RAM, and 128GB ROM. As far as battery is concerned, it will be backed by a 3450 mAh battery.

Whereas, on the other hand, Google Pixel, which is codenamed Sailfish is a typical 5-inch device with Snapdragon 820 processor combined with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal memory. It will feature a 12MP rear camera which would be capable of capturing 4k videos. The front camera would be an 8MP supported by a 2770 mAh battery.

The design of the phone would be an interesting factor as the device would be equipped to compete with Apple’s iPhone 7. Certain leaked images show that the device will come in dual tone featuring both glass and metal. If the rumors are to be believed, we really are sure that Google would be the first one to incorporate such a design into reality. The initial launch will feature with a higher price bracket as compared to Nexus devices.

Well, we are just keeping our fingers crossed as the ones who are not planning to buy an iPhone 7 can expect a fair deal and decent alternative as Google’s phones and their specifications have the best integration with Android in the market.

Let’s just wait and see what Google will unwrap in front of us.
