Cricketer, Entrepreneur, Philanthropist and now a Singer—the man never ceases to amaze us with his talents…

In his 24-year career, Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar made India proud in international cricket. Aptly named as the ‘God of Cricket’, Tendulkar is a phenomenon not just for Indians but several young aspiring cricketers around the world. His demeanor, records and reputation precedes him everywhere. Therefore, when the ‘God’ announced his retirement in November 2013, it took the entire world by storm. It’s not too long since the Arjuna Award winner launched his 100MB digital app and his autobiography. And now, the 43-year old legend has surprised us by mastering yet another art.

Over the years, we’ve seen Tendulkar in many different avatars—friend, father, husband and Rajya Sabha member, but one thing that we didn’t expect was to watch Tendulkar grooving to the beats of a peppy number, singing his heart out on stage before millions of fans, didn’t we? To our surprise it did happen on the sets of Indian Idol 9 this Sunday. Our beloved ‘Little Master’ made his debut with the microphone last night. We saw Tendulkar singing alongside famous Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam—the judge for Indian Idol 2017.

The occasion was Indian Idol 2017 finale. By the way, Baahubali fame LV Revanth was the Indian Idol winner for season 9. The iconic cricketer performed his debut track ‘cricket wali beat’ with Nigam on stage. Needless to say, the grand world TV premiere on Sony Entertainment Televisions was a huge hit among Tendulkar fans everywhere.

With quirky lyrics–“Nacho Nacho Nacho Sare Cricket Waali Beat Pe, Gend Aayi, Bala ghuma, Mara Chakka, Sachin-Sachin Nacho Nacho sab Cricket Wali Beat Pe” and hipster beats, the song drives us absolutely crazy.

Nigam, who coached Master Blaster for his debut song complimented his newfound talents and expressed his surprise, seeing him pitching right in his very own style.  Being the humble superstar as Tendulkar didn’t forget to thank his team members and all those who lent him their support in all the six World Cups. We bet you can’t help but shout ‘Sachin Sachin’ all over, once you hear him singing.
