Salman Khan's reaction to his rape comment

Salman says something and it does not erupt in a controversy, well that’s rare. He now has become the proverbial bad boy of Bollywood. In an interview Salman has said that his tough shoot for his new movie ‘Sultan’ left him feeling like a raped woman because he couldn’t walk straight after filming some rigorous wrestling scenes. Poor Salman Khan, he’s just a child. No, we aren’t saying that, Subhash Ghai said defending him in his statement.

Yes he is a child, a 50 year old child. A child, who’s father has tweeted an appology on his behalf, whereas he has remained silent. Salim Khan tweeted, “Undoubtedly what Salman said was wrong, the simili, example and the context. The intentions were not wrong”. Bollywood too seems to have lost its tongue with very few voices speaking out against Salman’s comments. Should Salman Khan Apologies for trivializing rape?

The NCP’s women wing protested outside the actor’s residence saying ‘Salman Khan Haye Haye’ and the National Commission for Women has asked Salman Khan to issue an apology in one week. Everything said and done, without uttering a single word, the Bhai of Bollywood flew to Madrid for an award function.  Watch here in this video his unexpected reaction to media person’s questions as he reaches the Mumbai airport.

There sharing the stage with some veteran and respected actors of Bollywood, PRiyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Farhan Akhtar etc, when asked by a reporter, he said, “the less I speak the better it is.” Watch here:

Yes Salman we absolutely agree with you, you must speak as less as possible, as I believe that the less you’ll speak, the more the peaceful would be the environment in the country. Finally after decades of your overrated existence in Bollywood, I am very thankful that you have realised it a win-win for all if you keep your mouth shut and be thought as a fool, then to open it and clear all the doubts. A person with such a status and such a number of followers must think a hundred times before saying a single word.

People who use the term rape casually. Do you realize it is not just about force but about destructing someone’s esteem? I know Salman Khan has fans. But if his female fans are OK with his “I felt like a raped woman” then I’ve just lost faith in the world.

Salman, seriously?
