The sensational Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis delivered another shot of their brilliant game with a season full of wins. They again made it in 2015 winning the WTA finals title to their name. For the duo, 2015 indeed seems to be one applauding year where they take in account another doubles title. This Indo-Swiss force washed off Spaniards Gabrine Muguruza and Carla Suarez Navarro 6-0, 6-3 to capture the WTA doubles title.
It is the ninth title of the year that the duo joined their hands. Apparently, Sania and Hingis are the top seeded players who outshone yet another name in their account. They massively outclassed their Spanish contenders and reached to the top. Having raced through the first set 6-0, Muguruza and Navarro showed some fight, winning three games. The efforts buzzed off where they could not upbeat this strong duo who is trimming away everyone.
The pair places their mark with WTA Year-End World No.1 Doubles Ranking presented by Dubai Duty Free.
The pair was so brilliantly ringed with their game that they didn’t give away a single set in the tournament. Hingis and Mirza are 9-1 in finals this season, with two Grand Slam titles (Wimbledon, US Open), five WTA Premier titles (BNP Paribas Open – Indian Wells, Miami Open, Family Circle Cup – Charleston, Dongfeng Motor Wuhan Open, China Open – Beijing), and one WTA International title (Guangzhou International Women’s Open). They have now stretched their unbeaten streak to 22 matches.
