Shahadat ko Salam: Martyr Vikramjit Singh cremated with honour in his native village in Haryana

Those who live for the nation, feels proud in sacrificing themselves for the nation. The feeling of patriotism makes them immortal. Well.. hats off to the soldiers who happily sacrificed their lives in the duty of the nation. The soil of India has given a clan of brave soldiers. In the series of these courageous soldiers, Lance Naik Vikramjit Singh is one more addition. On 6th August, he received martyrdom while preventing terrorist infiltration in Gurej Sector of Jammu and Kashmir. Know more.

His last rites
Vikramjit Singh was cremated with state and military honors in his native village i.e. Tapela village, Haryana. Thousands of people gathered to attend his last rites. They hailed the martyr and called Pakistan Murdabad. Army and police came to honour him. They did air-firing in his honour.

Haryana government’s efforts for Vikramjit
On behalf of the Haryana government, Health, Sports and Youth Program Minister Anil Vij paid a tribute to the body of martyrs and consoled the family. The minister said that the state government deposited Rs. 50 lakhs in account of martyr’s family. As per the state rules, his wife Harjeet Kaur will be government job.

To give him national honour, labour and employment minister Nayeb Singh Saini, MLA Mrs. Santosh Chauhan Sarwan, MLA Asim Goyal, Deputy Commissioner Mrs Sharandeep Kaur Brar, Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar, GOCS of Army Two-Corps S.S. Sidhu, Brig K.S. Nijjar, additional Deputy Commissioner Capt Pt Singh, Deputy Director of Sainik Board V.M. Sharma were present.

Vikramjit Singh
Vikarmjit Singh had patriotism in his blood. Martyr’s grandfather Kartar Singh had served Indian army. Vikramjit Singh’s father Baljinder Singh was a farmer. Shaheed’s grandfather has served in the army and he inspired his two grandsons Vikramjit Singh and Monu Singh to join the army. Vikramjit Singh was admitted to Army 5 years ago. His younger brother Monu Singh is also in the army and is currently stationed in Assam.
