The 33-year old actress Sonam Kapoor is taking another route to shun the negatives and curb hatred. She recently announced that she is going off Twitter for a while, leaving us shocked as the actress is quite active on social media otherwise. Not divulging many details, she just said that Twitter has been too negative, which is why she has decided to go off it for some time. This is what she said in a tweet: “I’m going off Twitter for a while. It’s just too negative. Peace and love to all!”
Recently, she had written this on her Instagram story where a troll hit her hard. Here is the sequence – This is what Sonam Kapoor wrote on her Instagram story: “It’s taken me two hours to reach town. And I’m still not at the destination. The roads are bad and the pollution is ridiculous it’s a nightmare to get out of the house.” This probably didn’t go well with one of her stalkers who replied to this post saying: “It’s because of people like you, who don’t use public transport or less fuel consumption vehicles. You know that your luxury car gives three or four km per litre mileage and 10 /20 AC’s in your house are equally responsible for global warming. First control your pollution.”
What the user did was share the screenshot of Sonam’s story and slam her for what she said. Sonam couldn’t take the criticism and gave a befitting reply: “And it’s because of men like you that women find it difficult to use public transport for fear of being harassed.”
Sonam has been very vocal about what she feels; she wears her heart on the sleeves. Even last year, she had requested the tweeple to stop spreading hatred. I request my followers and fans not to hate on someone and get personal towards other celebrities. Be better than that,” Sonam earlier tweeted.
