SP Balasubramanyam is an Indian playback singer as well as music director who has recorded more than 40,000 songs in 16 Indian languages. He has sung songs in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. Most of his Hindi songs feature Salman Khan back in the 90s.
Born on 4th June 1946, BalaSubramanyam started pursuing music at an early stage. He has been honored with 6 National Film Awards for playback singing and also holds Guinness World Record for recording most number of film songs. He also received the civilian honor of Padma Shri in 2001 and Padma Bhushan in 2011.
