Sridevi’s Death: The superstar died due to ‘accidental drowning’, Dubai reports say

The entire Bollywood is in deep grief and remorse on legendary actor Sridevi’s untimely death in Dubai. The actress died in the Arabic lands while she was attending Mohit Marwah’s wedding.  According to the Dubai post-mortem report, Superstar Bollywood actress Sridevi Kapoor died of accidental drowning.

Sridevi was found unconscious in her hotel apartment’s bathroom, where she had accidentally drowned. Earlier, however, media reports suggested that she died of cardiac arrest on Saturday.

The entire country woke up to hear this news, while the Dubai authorities were busy ascertaining the cause of death. To ensure proper investigations, the hotel authorities had restricted the entire floor on which Sridevi was found dead.

It was then reported that alcohol was also found in Sridevi’s body. However, Sridevi’s close family members revealed that Sridevi did not use to consume alcohol.

Sridevi’s husband Boney Kapoor is being questioned thoroughly. Police are reportedly suspicious of his decision to suddenly fly back to Dubai after having returned from the wedding. To this, Boney said that he had come back to Dubai to give a surprise to Sridevi. It is also being told that as soon as he landed in Dubai, he asked Sridevi to get ready for a dinner, following which Sridevi went to the washroom to get ready.

It was only after 15 minutes that Sridevi didn’t return from the washroom, that Boney Kapoor went into the hotel to check on her status. The door didn’t open. Boney pushed the door but in vain. He then got the door open only to see that his wife was lying unconscious in the bathtub. Boney tried to revive her pulse but to no avail. At around 9 pm, he then called the Dubai police.

As per a notable media in Dubai, “The post-mortem report has been released by Dubai police to Sridevi’s family and the Indian consulate.”

Many renowned actors and actresses visited Anil Kapoor’s residence to offer condolences on the sudden demise of the actor. These included Shahrukh Khan, Rajnikanth, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh among many others.

Even theatre artists of AVR School of drama paid a tribute to the stunning actress who has left behind a huge legacy.
