As Indian Football Team Captain Sunil Chhetri gets ready to play his 100th international today, all hopes are glued to his performance. Fans and sports enthusiasts are hopeful that they will see Chhetri continuing his scoring spree in the International Cup against Kenya.

Ahead of his 100th International match, Sunil Chhetri posted a video on social media requesting the football fans and non-fans to go and watch the match live in Mumbai. The video has gone viral for all the right reasons and people have let huge support for the Indian football team led by Chhetri.

In the video, Chhetri has urged the fans of European football clubs to support the Indian team and he added that one day the team would change the way people think of Indian football. Apparently, it takes a lot of efforts for sports (other than cricket) in India to garner support from the audience but now it should change.

After the video was posted, players like Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli also came forward in support of the captain and requested fans to support the team.

The match will be held in Mumbai and will be telecasted from 8 pm onwards on Star Sports 2 and Star Sport 2 HD. Besides, online users can also catch it on Hotstar.

After crushing Chinese Taipei by 5-0 in the tournament opener, the Indian football team has gained 97th rank in the world. The team led by Chhetri who has 59 goals to his credit will look forward to registering another victory thereby securing its position and leading towards the tournament final.

Indian team has a strong lineup with attacking midfielders like Udanta Singh, Anirudh Thapa, and Pranoy Halder along with a strong defence with players like Sandesh Jinghan, Pritam Kotal, Narayan Das and Subhashis Bose. In addition, the role of goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu will be crucial in the match.
