Ten Things Rajasthan Government is doing like no other!

The Raje Government in Rajasthan has recently completed two years of tenure. With more and more developments which are being done in the state today, we bring to you 10 things which the Vasundhara Raje Government is breaking new grounds with.

1. Labour Reforms:

Rajasthan has initiated revolutionary labour reforms to perk up the business environment in the state. Lately, the Labour Department of Rajasthan launched a project know as LDMS ( Labour Department Management System). Under this project everything was computerized including the citizen-related activities and then those were sent live to the district offices for keeping a record. The point to focus here is that Rajasthan has been the first state in the country to be able to accomplish it.

2. Non-Conventional Energy:

The outsized unfruitful barren lands which were considered to be the curse on Rajasthan are now proving to be the boom for the state. With the motive of strengthening non-renewable sector, the Rajasthan Government released a new Solar Energy Policy. The government has signed MOUs or Joint Venture Agreements for production of 14000 MW of solar energy and development of Solar Parks of 26000 MW capacity, to encourage the generation of solar energy in the state. A prominent trait of this policy is that it has the condition of permitting farmers to set up solar energy plants in their property or to sub-let it without the obligation of land conversion.

3. Mining Policy – 2015:

In Rajasthan, mining of mineral gypsum was limited to the State enterprises since 1980. Now, provisions have been simplified so farmers and industries can mine gypsum for imprisoned use. This action of the government has been greeted widely. Lately with the purpose of increasing the mining productivity in the state, the government launched a new Mineral Policy-2015.  All the applications, allocations and the transactions of the entire process are computerized and are put online so as to guarantee the transparency in work. This too was done by Rajasthan before any other state in the country.

4. Water Conservation:

Water is more of an asset in Rajasthan than a resource reason being the obvious. Where on one hand the state comprises of the 10% of the land area of the country, on the other it has only 1% of the water resources of the country, which is comparatively too less. To facilitate every single individual of the state with the supply of water and for the development of the irrigation land, the government so far has invested 472.84 crores. Also Rajasthan Drinking Water Grid is being established to make sure the accessibility of drinking water in the state. A prime focus here – Under a campaign, a crowd sourcing portal for all the people to contribute to the program was launched and this has been done by Rajasthan for the first time in the country. Isn’t that cool?

5. Revenue Lok Adalats:

Leading all the ways, Rajasthan Government also stood first among the other states when it launched a campaign named ‘Nyay Aapke Dwaar’ meaning justice at your doorstep. Under this campaign, more than 12 lakh revenue cases were executed and nearly 4 lakh 20 thousand disputes were settled through the 5000 Gram Panchayat’s in the state. Isn’t the government doing a great job here?

6. Rajasthan Investment Promotion Policy – 2014:

Rajasthan Government on 08 October 2014 launched a new Investment Promotion Policy. Also efforts were made to promote dairy, plastic industries and the ceramic industries in the state. To improve the employment status, provisions were made to provide good packages to the large scale industries. To encourage tourism in the off-season, 100% concession in the payable luxury tax provided for three months. This made Rajasthan stand out on top among the rest of the states.

8. Heritage Conservation:

The state of Rajasthan is well known for its heritage wealth including the forts, the palaces and the lakes. And to preserve and conserve the same heritage a ‘Rajasthan Heritage Conservation & Promotion Authority’ has been established. A new tourism campaign will be launched in this year named ‘Tourism 3.0’ which will not just improve the state tourism but will also connect the people with the heritage and culture. Keeping the pilgrims and the devotees in mind, a special plan is made for the restoration of the temples and other religious sites in the state. Isn’t the Raje government working immensely glowing?

9. Gaurav Path:

0.5-2 km long concrete road & drain construction site has been recognized at every Gram Panchayat Headquarter. In the first phase of the construction, 2119 km long ‘Gaurav Paths’ are being build across 2154 Gram Panchayat Headquarters in the state. These gaurav paths will significantly impact the lives of the people in villages and outskirts towns. Raje’s memorandum behind mounting concrete road lines is to maintain a poise between the reliability and the ‘swabhiman’ of the people in villages.

10. Skilling:

The Vasundhara Raje Government has really achieved a milestone in this sector. To fill the gap between education-employment systems, the Raje government has given the youth of the state an open opportunity to discover and a platform to skill themselves. The Rajasthan government has been successful to a greater extent in making the youth industry-ready. Seeing the impressive efforts done by the state government, Rajasthan was awarded by the Assocham in the skilling sector.
