#HealthForAll: Can you treat your Health as your Wealth starting today on World Health Day?

Health is sure the topmost parameter to evaluate the quality of life in any area. Health is that parameter which has even overpowered education as an index. Education can be made available to all and is being made available to many. But health, health has still not touched many realms of the society.

As World Health Day is observed today across the World, let’s pledge ourselves to eat healthier, exercise regularly. This year marks the 70th anniversary while the theme is “Health for All”. Indeed, health for all is a crucial aspect towards ensuring holistic health across the World.

Today, as the world is battling hard with malaria and HIV, India is making its efforts to eradicate Polio and Diabetes. The problem of malnutrition is one of the main reasons why a huge number of people are struck by deadly diseases. Weak bodies are more prone to catching diseases and this is no news. The art of consuming all nutrients and vitamins in the daily diet is the key to mitigating health issues.

WHO has called eminent world leaders to honour their pledges which were made at the Sustainable Development Goals in 2015. They were also encouraged to promote concrete steps to advance the ‘health of all’.

World Health Day is one of eight official global health campaigns marked by World Health Organisation (WHO), along with World Hepatitis Day, World Tuberculosis Day, World No Tobacco Day, World AIDS Day, World Immunization Week, World Malaria Day and World Blood Donor Day.

Below are some motivational quotes which could change the definition of health in our perspective.

It is health that is the real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver.
– Mahatma Gandhi

Life is not merely being alive, but being well.
– Marcus Valerius Martialis

Your body hears everything your mind says.
– American Singer Naomi Judd
