This 14 Year Old Signed Rs. 5 Crore MOU With Gujarat Govt. For Inventing Mine Defusing Drones

Knowledge has no bar and an innovative and motivated intelligent mind can do wonders even at a very juvenile age. Harshwardhan Zala, who is 14 year old and has created drone for defusing the land mines is one such example. This bespectacled genius has signed a memorandum of understanding with the state government for the production of drones designed and created by him. The MOU is worth Rs. 5 crore which he has signed for the official permission from the government for the production. He is class 10th student and was working on this project since long back. He had started working on the landmine detecting drone project from the year 2016 and simultaneously created a business plan.

The boy’s father Pradhyumansinh Zala works as accountant in a plastic company and his mother, Nishaba Zala is a housewife.

The boy has complete support from his family and collectively spent Rs. 5 lakh on his research work and all three prototypes of it. Out of this, Rs. 2 lakh was spent by his father and Rs. 3 lakh was approved by the state government. While talking about his inspiration for the project, he mentioned, “The inspiration struck when I was watching television and learned that a large number of soldiers succumb to injuries sustained due to landmine blasts while defusing them manually”. Adding to this, he said, ” The drone also carries a bomb weighing 50 gram that can be used to destroy the landmine “.

The boy seems to inherit the conventional Gujarati business sense and thus has started his own company named, “Aerobotics”.  He added in his speech that, “I started making drones on my own and set up an interface with a base station but realised I need to do more. So I fixed payloads that detect landmines. I have several other plans that I want to execute once the patent for this drone is registered.”.
