Now when the almighty created both men and women with equal amount of spiritual and physical existence then who are we to differentiate between any genders we see around us. It’s not anyone’s personal wish to be born as a male or a female, then why do we tolerate any gender is blamed for being that particular gender.
Recently a lot of buzz started all over the nation when Bhumata Brigade chief, Trupti Desai was stopped from entering into the famous Haji Ali Dargah in the month of April. Being no less than a firm feminist, Trupti Desai decided not to let this unreasonable issue of barricading of females to go unattended.
The woman came back, yes Miss Desai after getting all the support from sensible people around the nation proved the worth of their support by coming back to visit the dargah and you know what, she actually did it. She entered the Haji Ali dargah this time and was unstoppable.
It was this morning when Miss Desai was allowed to offer prayers like any other normal male can do.
“I came here today without informing anyone and was able to do darshan. I wish someday all women are allowed to do darshan” said Trupti after accomplishing her goal. Out of general curiosity when asked what exactly she prayed for, her reply was, “At the Dargah, I prayed that women be allowed to enter the inner sanctum, as was the case till 2011.”
The major positive thing about this event is when Trupti told the media that, “Police cooperated with us this time. This is a fight for gender equality. We will try to visit the inner sanctum next time.”
We can how the society tries to inculcate just terms within its rigid framework. All it needs a single push. If a single woman can break a 400 hundred year old tradition the, it is even commendable for the Dargah authority to accept some new changes in their age old customary tradition. As we all should understand the fact that changes are important to improve anything and everything.
