UBER readies for flying cars; plans to launch demo at Dubai Expo 2020

Having captured the global markets extensively, Uber is now gearing up for it’s next big leap. The taxi-aggregator has let the cat out of hat about it’s strong intent to usher in flying cars trend on the global landscape.

Uber plans to effect a collaboration with plane manufacturers who will develop and test a network of flying cars. The reported deadline for the project is 2020.

Aviation companies like Embraer and Bell Helicopter have been roped in for the purpose of manufacturing electric flying taxis.

Surprisingly, according to Uber estimations, cost of  air cabs will be at par with that of land cabs. Uber plans to launch it’s flying taxi service by 2023, which will ferry customers through air.

Impressively, Uber has taken a greener approach towards salvaging this project. It has ensured that there is zero emissions and negligible noise, thereby contributing to the sustainable approach.

Uber is most likely to launch electric vehicles which will take off and land vertically like a helicopter. This initiative, the company believes is an effective idea to mitigate the menace of congested roads which exists in metro cities and other globalised countries.

The company believes that air-travel is the future. Hence, the company is sanguine about the air-travel prospects. What seems like a beguiling claim is an honest conviction of the e-Taxi app. The company is anticipated to launch it’s first Uber Elevater Network demonstration at the much awaited 2020 World Expo in Dubai.

Before embracing this paradigm addition, Uber has to convince the aviation authorities along with complying with zillion other formalities.

Additionally, the company is currently gripped with an intellectual property lawsuit over the technology to back self-driven cars.

Uber India is stuck with stiff completion from strong rival, Ola which is becoming customer friendly and hassle free for customers who are now exercising discretion over their taxi choice.
