Varun Dhawan starrer ‘October’ now arrives early next year; release on April 13

Basking in the high success for Badrinath Dukhaniya and Judwaa 2, Varun Dhawan is still on his toes and prepping up for his release in April 2018 – October, directed by Shoojit Sircar.

The director who is known for directing films like Piku, Madras Café and Vicky Donor has roped in a fresh face for his film. The debutante is a TV ad model Banita Sandhu who will be seen opposite Varun Dhawan.

‘October’ is an insight into the love story. The story is being written by Juhi Chaturvedi. Sircar spoke about the film and what it means to him. In the words of Sircar, October is a genre he always wanted to enter into. “It is a genre that I have always wanted to delve in. While love and romance have been entwined with Indian cinema, there is an abundance of that emotion that everyone can have their own interpretations of.”

“Juhi and I have always tried to create stories from the reflections of real-life moments that we see around us. October is another effort to explore those moments out of simple situations of life,” he added.

Juhi Chaturvedi, the writer of the film spelled her feelings about her experience with Shoojit over time. “Our stories come from day to day intricacies & complexities of life…the effort is always to find insightful and charming nuances in what seems obvious. With Shoojit’s innate ability to steer the story in a way that creates poignant and compelling moments out of simple situations of life, I am hoping this time too we create something people find a connect with and make their own.”

Clinching the opportunity of spreading the word about the film, Varun Dhawan took to Twitter to share the release date of the film. “As October comes to an end it arrives earlier next year. #October releases on 13 th April now.@ShoojitSircar @ronnielahiri @BanitaSandhu.”
